Hmm. Bit of a gap, there. So, what's new...?

ITEM! I've been busy with (you've guessed already, I imagine) Minecraft, producing more material for Season IV...

ITEM! ...aaaand I have finally got my hands on Saints Row IV, after missing it in several Steam sales over Christmas.

ITEM! I just finished A Game Of Thrones, and my bookmark is now tucked inside the first few pages of A Clash Of Kings... guess I'll have to get the TV series boxed sets now.

ITEM! I did a bit of shopping the other day, and the first of several items arrived yesterday, just when it was needed (unexpectedly)! Not the potentially essential device to aid my video production, but handy for crafting in the near future.

ITEM! Crap. Writing has not fitted into my schedule so far, since that bit of type-up I did in the wake of the exams and Christmas. I still want to have something posted by month's end, but that's approaching pretty quickly - could be that I may yet change my publishing plans.

We shall see...

And finally... Coming soon: GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY LEGO. Niiice.

Nah. I got nothing. A lot of today involved a search for Godzilla toys for a new fan, and that led to trudging through page after page of intriguing anime figures and statues...

So, not very productive, really. Kinda anti-productive, in that it seems to have leaked into Tuesday, taking blog-posting with it. I absolutely MUST rationalise my free time more effectively.

THIS JUST IN... Incoming - the first Iron Man 3 trailer!!!

Talking of boots... a fortuitous eBay purchase has given someone something to wear at last...

...looks like she's demanding some attention. (All courtesy of Triad Toys)

Meanwhile: back on the "grindstone"... Vice Admiral Walks-With-Storms has now built up three days' worth of raw Dilithium - in the last twenty-four hours. The 8000 unit refinement limit doesn't mean that "Atrox Day" is coming any sooner, however - and this is what all the fuss is about.

Development News... Yes, I am still writing, and the Shadow City episode of the run-in to WORLDS COLLIDE continues to take shape. Yes, I had hoped to be further along with this story-arc by now, possibly posting WC itself over Christmas, but there's not much chance of that at present. However, we shall see...

O.M.F.G.

Definite Lottery Win Goodies - Four-metre-tall Japanese robot shoots bottle rockets, costs £860k. A robot you can ride around in...

From the same source - wired.co.uk - an amusing tale of a French company attempting to trademark the logo and slogan of "hackivists" Anonymous, to which the pushy little cyber-brats respond by "waging war" on the company with one of their "#Ops". Jeez, make your frigging minds up, willya? Are you against trademarks and copyrights or not? Isn't everything supposed to be, well, y'know, like FREE and "open source" for everyone? Hey, apparently no indidvidual is actually ALLOWED to own an idea, a SONG, a GAME or a MOVIE in Anonymous-World - we're all "sharing" (i.e. taking whatever we want for nothing, and crying "corporate imperialism" whenever you get caught STEALING)... aren't we?

Hypocrisy. Oh, and they still hide behind masks. Pussies.

And to think that, instead of his pussy-ism, you guys could've gotten behind my "I Am Groot Day" idea yesterday, to mark exactly two years until the release of GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY. Remember, pop-pickers, this movie is (or has to be) our "in-road" into the legend of THANOS.

I believe. After AVENGERS, how could I not...?

I can expect an inflated credit card statement this month. Not insanely so - I've had worse since The Move, and the infamous "TV triple-header" - but a bunch of project materials have gone on it, including most recently appropriate footwear for The Personal Goddess. Today, I got comics AND my triple-Play Blu-Ray/DVD of Iron Man 2, which I'll be watching shortly. Still no comic boxes, so some enquiries will have to be made...

Fnaj knows what caused last night's outage. The broadband probably took a huff 'cause it wasn't getting used while I was working on my craft experiment, but the results were worth it - hooray for cling-film and duct tape!

Okay, that may sound rather odd, but I have found a rather ingenious method for creating sewing patterns for things such as gloves. Last Sunday, I was able to use a disposable glove, cover the hand with duct tape, then draw around the necessary seams, cut around them carefully with scissors and BINGO - a custom glove template! I am now investigating giving a certain "Princess" of my acquaintance a make-over in leather...

...and that's a 16" Princess Jasmine doll from the Disney shop - the closest thing I can get, given my limited means, to a Japanese ball-jointed doll. Confusion defused, I hope. If I can make her a pair of boots, that's a BIG step closer to making my own...

And here she is... )

Okay, time for a drink, then a movie.

What... what was that? A big bright shiny thing, in the sky, like a huge ball of fire...

Yeah, I mean S-U-N - enough of it to have most of my lunch outdoors. And that was about as exciting as it gets. Getting paid, so what's to complain about?

Except that that was, quite probably, the sum total of our summer, knowing our luck.

Development News...Okay, that's Chapter One of TDD-603 Part 3 finally "in the can", and Chapter Two is underway, pending a type-up of today's work, coming up after I finish this. Not sure I can get the next story done before the end of the Slot, but I'll do my best. TDD-603, Part 4 - now pretty much official as the next stage of the arc - has a pivotal role to play in several ways; key events, a crossroads for stories to come, that sort of thing...

Elsewhat... I'm seeing some pretty awesome things people are doing with Lego these days, and I feel inclined to experiment. I have a small box of modern Lego, including a fair number of more technical parts - no frogs, though. I do have a transparent blue spider - does that count? Oh, and a scorpion...

And so, the madness begins...

In Today's Episode... The One-Zero-One take stock of their situation in the latest chapter of

Faenri Vs Dominion.
Can they survive a change of mission...?

"F Vs D" is all but done and dusted, with a few pieces of final chapters to slot into place. Episode 501 is starting to come together, too, plus there's a few other bits and pieces in the pre-production process. AND, while all this is going on, I'm actually being paid (indirectly) for doing it. Hee hee!

In today's headline news... A different - and more comfortable - venue, longer working hours, grateful co-workers; what more do you need? Oh yeah - how about The Fucking System tripping over itself? Hilarious.

*** SHOCK UPDATE! *** I just found out that my comic-artist hero Dave Cockrum designed one of my all time favourite things - the AURORA Prehistoric Scenes Tyrannosaurus Rex! The story is HERE.

All in all, a pretty good day...

In Today's Episode... Things get worse, and there's little comfort for Darkhawk, no matter where she looks - all in the latest chapter of The Darkhawk Diaries.

The offline story archive has been reorganised into separate stories, where it was previously sorted only into seasons, and I'll be putting that on various flash-drives before the day is done. Damn, I love those things - I have six now, ranging from 128mb up to a tasty 1 Gb, and I never paid more than £20 for any of them. It's hard to think that the smallest of them is smaller than my thumb, and has more storage space than the whacking big hard-drive unit I bought for £499 years ago to plug onto the side of my Amiga.

Next, I want an external HD. Doesn't have to be huge...
