It's the day after Task 95, and I'm looking towards my next possible task completion. One task also advanced at the same time as Task 95, and that's
52 - Complete some craft projects I've started
- I "fast-tracked" the jeans-to-skirt project that's been in progress for... years, I guess, and which featured in my "Dawn On Vinyl" photo. There's some fastening to complete, a bunch of seams to finish, but I'd count the result as a partial victory.

Also, I've been thinking about
50 - Create "proper" pieces of art, fit to hang, or give as gifts
- all I need now is some inspiration...

Stay tuned...

95 - Go on a early morning/dawn photography expedition, and come back with good pics

Mission accomplished, I think. Out at 0330, back by 0530 - I got my sunrise, and I'm very happy with those, but the portrait pics didn't quite work out according to plan. I did, however get this

which I'm calling "Dawn On Vinyl"...

Meanwhile - Development News... Ground has been broken on TDD-607 The Endless Dance of Light and Shadow IV!

Right now... Welcome, my friends, to the tennis match that never ends: Mahut (FRA) vs Isner (USA) at Wimbledon; over EIGHT hours now, at 46 games to 46 in the final set. Insane...

In the news... Northern comedy legend Frank Sidebottom (a.k.a. Chris Sievey) died on Monday, following a battle with cancer. Imagine George Formby with a huge Papier-mache head - kinda like a grown-up Stewie Griffin from Family Guy... damn, the guy was a genius, a mainstay of 1980s alternative TV. Loved the guy...

There's a campaign to get him to Number 1 - now that, I'd love to see. Even more heartwarming, there's also a campaign to ensure he doesn't end up with a pauper's funeral. I just sent £10...

Update! Now 49-48 Isner 49 games all...

Development News... I can genuinely see me completing TDD-606 The Ragged Edge tonight. Writing at home is a struggle, but lunch-time seems to flow a whole lot better - must see if there's something I can do about that. In any case, Chapter 1 posts on Saturday, probably just before "The Big Bang"...

...THREE days to go.

And finally...
If that's the worst weather we're going to have 'til next week, I'll be taking photos!

I'm rather wanting to make some serious progress on the writing front, so I'm not going to arse around online too much.

Item! Today, I finally broke ground on the prospective final chapter of TDD-606 The Ragged Edge. Could I possbly finish it today? With the right application of effort, I'd say it's achieveable.

Item! Did a quick survey of the site for my "dawn shoot"
95 - Go on a early morning/dawn photography expedition, and come back with good pics
and things are looking good, including the W... E... A... T... H... E... R...

Item! In the meantime, there's at last something else to watch instead of bloody soccer... yep, Wimbledon begins!

Item! ...and I guess that's it for now.

FIVE Days to "The Big Bang"...!

Been thinking...
95 - Go on a early morning/dawn photography expedition, and come back with good pics
needs a solid "go" date I can achieve, and Monday morning, my initial target date, may be a bit of a stretch, even though the Longest Day is tomorrow. I did see the start of dawn this morning, so I have a better idea of when to set out on my photo-expedition to catch the right light, but one key factor remains entirely out of my control - the bloody weather. Next week would suit me, as long as I set aside time to assemble the necessary gear, and read up on my camera - I already have batteries charged and ready...

This will be fun - if I take the time to set things up properly. The rest is out of my hands...

It took nearly three hours to patch Ultima Online on the desktop. Laptop and netbook? About fifty minutes each... and then I started tinkering with a few things in-game, and oooops, it's mid-afternoon, and there's not a syllable of writing done. Poo.

What's happened to the last couple of weeks? I'm getting VERY close to the proposed "night shoot" date (Monday morning, actually), but I've done bugger all preparation for it. I've not exactly been at my best recently, and that's going to put a dampener on things no matter how focussed you might try to be. Depending on how I feel, and whether the weather holds, I might carry out the plan next week - I may even have an appropriate craft project ready by then, but that's going to require some extensive sewing sessions...
52 - Complete some craft projects I've started
95 - Go on a early morning/dawn photography expedition, and come back with good pics
Starting to think I'm needing to be more serious with my time-management, especially when late nights seem to be a "No Go Zone". If I plan to do something at a certain time - writing, crafts, whatever - that's what I need to be doing, and if I have any "empty slots" (like this morning), then I need to be filling them.

Hey, at least I did something Mission-oriented this morning...
63 - Do some more RP in Ultima Online
in that I managed to make and engrave a trophy for a possible darts competition, the seeds for which were sewn last night. Not a total loss, then.

Mission 101: The List...

I'm going for it...
95 - Go on a early morning/dawn photography expedition, and come back with good pics
It somewhat overlaps with the photography task (Task 55), but this is a much more structured task, requiring me to explore some more of my equipment's capabilities, and carefully select my "go-slot" - I may even have to check with the police about when the area I'm going to visit will be safest.

Oh, I like this one. Could be fun...

Inspired by 4am Project!
