I'm kinda pissed off right now.

I am absolutely HATING this "Avengers Assemble" bullshit.

Not enough to not go and see the movie, let me make that crystal clear. There's a new trailer, and it's brimming with Awesome, but then you get to the end, and... ARRRRRRGGGGH...

It's just that... godammit, what has been DONE with "The UK Avengers" franchise lately? One mildly shitty movie in what, thirty years (which wasn't even British)? Marvel has been touting the Avengers concept pretty heavily since the teaser at the end of Iron Man. Do Marvel not trust their own marketing? Do we in the UK now call the last mainstream Marvel movie "Captain America = The First Avenger Assemble"?

"Avengers Assemble Assemble!" Yeah, that's a GREAT catchphrase.

Panic not. I'll be all right. Unless this means I have to call Mission 101 Task 98
98 - See each of the "Avengers" cycle of movies on opening day! (Iron Man 2 (2010), Thor (2011), Captain America - The First Avenger (2011), Avengers (2012))
a FAIL because the last movie in the sequence no longer exists. There is not a chance in hell that I'll go all the way to The States to see the movie because of a dumb-ass marketing brain-fart...

Are we just less than two months from...

"Avengers Assemble"???

See the Comic Book Resources report that announces a change of title for UK audiences, because nooooo, we're far too stupid to tell the fucking difference.

Marvel bad. Marvel lame.

And someone still wants to call a certain Barsoom-centric movie John Carter? Surely no-one will confuse that with a certain other Samuel L. Jackson movie about basketball...?

Ah yes - live B-52s. Brilliant.

And then, just to bring me down - the horrible news that, in a recent survey, 8 out of 10 UK children thought The Battle Of Britain was *sighs* a TV talent show. And this on the same day as teachers say they're going on strike??? Rubber bullets are too good for some people...

At least the Euro-soccer "high-and-mightys" have had to back down on their poppy ban. The Remembrance poppies are NOT religious or political, dumbasses - they're a symbol of the sacrifices made to stop you becoming Nazi-land.

Never forget that.

At work today... Nice to see some people making an effort - like the two guys this morning who showed up for their exams in fancy dress monkey costumes. Mild amusement ensued.

Tomorrow... Last day. As little hassle as possible PLEASE.

Development News... Here's a promise I definitely can keep - TDD-603 Part 3 will be completed tonight.

Meanwhile... O. M. F. G - will this never end? The Germans are now thinking of banning paintballing after their recent school shooting. Yeah, that'll teach them, won't it? No point in taking a look at the psychology of the perpetrators, and from that maybe... oh, do something about bullying at school, perhaps? Nah, why bother when there are much easier targets to go for?

Also... Yet again, there are people who're saying that we have "no right" to criticise North Korea for their nuclear weapons programme. Of course, the "no nukes" brigade aren't in firing range of Kim Jong Il's latest toys, are they? Go to Japan, and tell them that North Korea has every right to a nuclear deterrent...

...awww, they did what? Told you to fQ7k off? How inconsiderate of them.

And finally... Blockbuster Season continues - Terminator Salvation next weekend!
