In Today's Episode: Sorrow Has The Swiftest Wings moves towards its conclusion with The Traveller coming to the aid of the stricken space-liner, and the AGK dealing with the waste spill, everyone seems to have their hands full - including a particularly unwelcome guest with hostile intentions...

Release Notes... And our cast is at last complete, as a hero falls. The conclusion "airs" on Friday...!

Meanwhile... It's really good to sit down with work colleagues and discuss a problem, and actually know what I'm on about, with your contributions actually counting for something. Thank the gods "Fox River" didn't kill my will to work, what seems like an age ago.

A big LEGO delivery arrived today, meaning that I can now move forward with my webcomic plans - check banzai.thepatentdragon.com for further developments!

ITEM! How about a webcomic created solely in IMVU? I have "in-game" money, so why not create a fully-equipped stage set? It's not as though anything else is happening with it...

ITEM! On the movie front: Apollo 18 + Troll Hunter = double-header? Cowboys And Aliens I utterly fail to have any enthusiasm for.

ITEM! I've been trying to work out a way to get the latest chapters of the main projects listed on the DominiCore.com "front page" - "Recently, on THE DARKHAWK DIARIES", "Recently, on THE SECRET ADVENTURES OF MANE-OF-NIGHT" and so on. I was suspecting some kind of RSS arrangement, but for now, a Twitter feed will suffice... as long as I keep it updated. Research will, of course, continue.

And finally... 2012 isn't looking at all bad for movies right now - I've seen very positive trailers for Ghost Rider - Spirit Of Vengeance and John Carter (of Mars)...

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Praying for today's gardening to get rained off...

I was up and surfing at midnight on Saturday, as the world rotated into Sunday, and my birthday. There was at no point a moment when I "felt older". You get that when you fall asleep at the computer, and nearly fall off your chair...

Anyway. New Work has a day off today, so I've been catching up with my somewhat curtailed Sunday lie-in, followed by a liberal dose of goofing off on the 'net - mostly thanks to Sinfest. I'm annoyed that I'm not getting as much writing done as I'd like - the above falling asleep issue has a lot to do with that - and so I am instigating a "Get Back To Writing" program. Starting today, I head upstairs as soon as dinner is done, and spend at least one hour writing and developing before I do ANYTHING else - even anti-virus updates...

...or shopping. My pay situation is still untangling itself at the moment, in that I'm still playing catch-up. My debts incurred because of the March "pay failure" are dealt with, but my Mission 101 task
42 - Get comic orders in more promptly (4/33)
mean that this month's credit card bill has TWO comic orders on it, just when I was comfortably getting back into the black...

To hell with it. Spiritwalk present, here I come...

...after GBTW Hour. ;-)

Mission Update...! Completed!
89 - Create a portable list of tasks for on-the-hoof reference and updates

And that's my Mission book officially "christened" - yay! There must be an easier way to get a print-out of multiple Moleskine-sized pages on a sheet of A4, though...

Development News... Another two pages of TDD-605 "She Returns" written, but they're not typed up yet - mostly 'cause I was trying to get The Master List (see above) sorted after dinner, and it took longer than I expected. A good deal longer. Now that I'm past that particular stumbling block (with a not-so graceful bound), I'll be getting on with business shortly, hopefully without falling asleep at the keyboard.

Typing in heaps and heap of co-ordinates, depth readings and the like can have that effect of a guy, y'know.

And finally... Currently well impressed by Romantically Apocalyptic. Awesome artwork, AND funny.

2: Mocking The Afflicted

In Other News... Yes, Russell, the clever Radio Times cover was a bad idea, telegraphing the "Big Reveal", and stealing a lot of its thunder. Line up for your slap upside the head, sir...

Other than that, tonight's Doctor Who continues in much the same vein as the season so far, i.e. it is "must see" TV! Only Prison Break and the CSIs can hope to match it.

In Today's Episode... Mane-of-Night tries to relax as only she can - but life is never that easy, especially for our heroine...

Re-introducing a "hero" from the past - and hurling him squarely into Mane-of-Night's path!

Development Update... I may just get TDD-502 finished on time - if I can stay awake long enough tonight, or make the most of tomorrow morning before my weekly excursion to "Fox River". I managed to get some work done at lunchtime, and this morning involved some minor idea-wrangling. Getting a proper weekend this week will certainly help.

Mo' Fucking System Fox River Blues... The shop got hit by a street-wide power cut this afternoon. Boy, that was fun - I was half-expecting to be blamed for it, in which case The Assistant-Boss would have been running the shop on her own, and I wouldn't have felt bad about it for a second...

I may just webcomic that, for a laugh.

At least I get to enjoy this one...

News just in... Jennifer's house is (just about) sold, so that's one thorn in her side all but excised. Hopefully, some kind of financial normality will follow :)

New "Who"... The Season 3 opener "Smith And Jones" was pretty good, better than the rather underwhelming Season 2 start. I'm already liking new companion Martha a good deal more than the previous incumbent, even though she'll take a couple of episodes to work her way into the part - just in time for the Daleks, I suspect.

Coming up next... ...webcomic!

Was going to throw together a topical web-comic, but I couldn't find any Star Trek Enterprise screen-caps for it. Guess I'll have to do the CSI Miami one instead - maybe later tonight (gonna try and hard-reboot my sleep patterns, so I should have plenty of time). I'll piece together the Enterprise script as well, and maybe post that at another date.

Meanwhile... The weekend! Yay! Got Pan's Labyrinth on DVD for £11.97! Yay! Doctor Who Season Three starts next week! Yay!

Excuse me while I go and try to strike a balance between relaxing and creative processes...

Just dropping by in between chapters to give a little shout-out for a couple of great web-comics that just crept onto my radar...

Kawaii Not - in glorious lo-fi!
Death Piglet - in glorious bad taste!

...and back to work. ;-)

Okay, it's all down-hill from here, now that the halfway mark has been passed. Even so, you still get looks as though you're wearing a t-shirt with a photo of your genitals on it - doesn't anyone read their office memos?

Oh, and I should stress that the proposed webcomic does not feature the above concept. I'll be taking my inspiration from the truly excellent Twisted Kaiju Theater, and a wholesale rip-off of Borat - who won't be getting another namecheck any time soon. I have a background image now, and all I need now is a star...

Also... Okay, finances are back on track. The creative process continues at a healthy pace. Yep, stuff seems to be on track, in general - and BB and SiL's Big Project is starting to move forward too.

And Finally... I don't think it'll be getting warmer any time soon...

In Today's Episode: Darkhawk meets with The Imperial Temple of Tylugarna in the latest episode of The Darkhawk Diaries, but it's not quite the meeting she might have hoped for...

And The Rest... Today was Hallowe'en, and I came away from work today with an idea for a topical webcomic - but it may not see the light of day until the end of the week. Another Darkhawk chapter is complete on paper, thanks to the whole "nine minutes of work an hour" thing, and scheduled for a full write-up this evening - given the way the story is expanding, I need to keep on top of it all. This "season" may not get finished before the end of the year, at this rate.

Yesterday - Managed to miss the second half of the Monday Night game, all 'cause of hardware "peculiarities". Frigging digital...

Tomorrow - Torchwood, plus a definite shift "into the black"!

I like these...

Twisted Kaiju Theater - WARNING: rude and possibly offensive things!

Two Lumps: The Adventures of Ebenezer and Snooch - feline hilarity!

Chronicles of Garas - D&D-inspired adventures with great art!

the n00b - MMORPG misadventures, so true to life...

Elsewhat... they just changed movies, so byebye *batteries not included, and hello Flash Gordon. Sweet.

Wheeeee! New Who tomorrow!

In Today's Episode: Darkhawk and Talona take a moment to consider their next moves in the latest chapter of The Darkhawk Diaries.

There have also been a few minor revisions (a.k.a. spelling corrections) to a few other chapters as well, and the next chapter is underway as well.

...and that pretty much seems like it for today. Ummm... errr... oh yeah:-

Bonus... Ever played online RPGs? You may want to check out The n00b - a scathing indictment of PKing, griefing and anything else MMPORPGs can provide. From my experience (over five years in Ultima Online), so much of this is very close to the truth...
