Development News... So much for the "writing break" - today, I made a start on that short Brighthawk story - and a pretty momentous one it is, too.

Sorrow Has The Swiftest Wings begins, and a region of the territory ruled over by The Consolidation Of Species becomes rather busy, as The Traveller continues the quest to recover the "shards" of the psychic essence of the daughter of The Goddess and Guixander, and close by, The Adventurers' Guild of Kraan take on a "tour of duty". Paths are certain to cross - but first, some private matters must be addressed...

Release Notes... This posting goes live just as the keyboard cools from writing the last part (almost) of the story!

Development News... "Almost" as in I think it needs just a little more Traveller at the end. This is a crossover, after all...

So, what's next? "9" on the countdown list on DominiCore.com is linked to Chapter 1, and "8" stands ready for posting, in the form of the next Challenger story. Next up on the WORLDS COLLIDE conveyor-belt is PIRATES OF FREEPORT, but I'm thinking that a Brighthawk may be needed to cover Za'Lita's response to events that unfold in "Sorrow..."

I'm taking a writing break anyway. Rough development only this week, apart from posting the rest of "Sorrow..."

Elsewhat... User reviews of John Carter at IMBD.com are split, about 65%-35% between "good" to "excellent", and "whine whine, bitch bitch, too much like Avatar" - W. T. F...?

Another case for "play the 'original sci-fi adventure' card", which the publicity execs completely failed to see, and exploit... As for the whiners, I strongly recommend that you read THIS.

Development News... The Traveller/Adventurers' Guild of Kraan crossover, Sorrow Has The Swiftest Wings, has been bogged down by some dissatisfaction with how these important scenes are unfolding. The good news is that with some reordering of story sections, and a little expansion of the existing material, things very much appear to be back on track. We could be looking at a completion this weekend, and very possibly a first posting...

Meanwhile, WORLDS COLLIDE 2 gets closer to some form of development, as a major plot thread takes shape. Hints of what's to come could be emerging really soon.

Elsewhat... Got a bit distracted, there, and I don't want to drop another post so soon after missing my first since mid-October. I'll post this now, and avoid the disappointment - and tomorrow, I should be posting the first blockbuster pre-season movie review, as AVENGERS draws ever closer...

Development News... The Traveller/Adventurers' Guild of Kraan crossover, now officially called Sorrow Has The Swiftest Wings, is into its final stages, and those involved try to make sense of what's happened - and some may not quite manage that feat.

But Wait! There's Mo'... I may just have come up with a character of unexpected significance...

And Finally... RIP Ronnie Montrose.

Tried to watch The Da Vinci Code - but my attention wasn't held beyond the first half-hour or so. The wordy mid-section was stuff I'd heard before on numerous "truth behind The Da Vinci Code" documentaries, and that was pretty much it for me.

This has had a "knock-on" effect on the rest of tonight's viewing - hooray for "+1" channels!

Development News... I may just manage to get the penultimate chapter of the Traveller/Adventurers' Guild of Kraan crossover completed by night's end, most likely after Homeland. It has been a bit of a struggle, given an overuse of our heating capacity, but I am still awake!

Today's not been as productive as I had hoped, but at least work has been done on the Traveller/Adventurers' Guild of Kraan crossover, and I've started on another writing journal (wow, that's MAJOR news). I'm thinking I'm about two and a half chapters from the end, with the pace picking up, oh, pretty much on the next "turn of the page".

Instead of pursuing this, I've been researching beds. I'm really not entirely happy with what I've got - damn it, I need a headboard.

Hmph. Got nothing to write right now. Watching Homeland... think I'll focus on that for now.

Writing progresses gradually, as the latest chapter of the Traveller/Adventurers' Guild of Kraan crossover takes shape, and events feed into the next phase. This story is pretty much dictating its own pace right now, with any "logjams" clearing in their own time - if I can stop dragging more characters into the whole thing. However, today's "product" has brought some heroes "back into the fold" after a considerable absence...

Yeah, get ready for the return of THE POWER PATROL.

Meanwhile, elements of the next non-Mane-of-Night "episode" of the run-in to WORLDS COLLIDE. One side in this battle-to-come hasn't been heard from yet, but that will be about to change - very soon. Shadow City has been too quiet lately...

And finally... Is my local cinema turning its back on sci-fi/fantasy/comic-book movies? Ghost Rider - Spirit Of Vengeance is still absent from their listings. What next, John Carter...?

Development News... More strong progress has been achieved on the Traveller/Adventurers' Guild of Kraan crossover, and the pieces are coming together quite nicely. During some research this morning (one end or the other, I can't remember which), I found an already-published mention of something pivotal to this story - and I have discovered a relevant name, too. A possibly major figure in all this now has a name.

Oh, and DominiCore.com has an updated front page - and WORLDS COLLIDE becomes official. I probably would have had more done, but there was an irresistible Doctor Who double-bill; the end of Season Two... niiiiice.
