Tomorrow, it all ends: the final two episodes of CSI New York get their airing - and the proportion of decent TV available free-to-air decreases yet again. Most of the recent Big Shows end up on satellite TV - 24, Lost, Game Of Thrones...

It's true that things have improved from "the bad old days", and shows like Under The Dome, Homeland and of course Agents of SHIELD are there for all to see, but it is still a royal pain that one company... *sighs* I'm not one of those people trying to justify downloading illegal copies of US shows, let's get that straight, and I fully believe in paying for my entertainment, but paying through the nose 'cause one company can buy up everything, including the rights to live Formula 1 - nope, not doing that.

Digital TV with its heaps of channels, the majority of which are free, has helped, but it's only a matter of time before something big, and awesome, ends up out of reach... and why bother with preventing spoilers when "everyone" is watching...?

Or alternatively, you could not give a sh8, and instead of shelling out thirty pounds or more a month more than you'll ever watch, or want to watch, and buy the boxed set for £10. Sounds like a plan.

And the same could be said for not worrying about blog-posts not making the midnight "deadline". Hey, I was watching The Final Destination, and the time just got away from me. Three days of posts in four days is a damn sight better than I've been managing lately.

Development News... I am nearly done with Chapter 1 of Lonely This Christmas, with minutes before we cruise gracefully into Christmas Eve - which it now is. Ah, what more can I do? Oh yeah; find a suitable host to replace the now unsatisfactory Diaryland...

Meanwhile... Ah crap - messed up on catching the last episode of Season 2 of Homeland - and you can guarantee that either 1) no repeat will be available at an accessible time, given the season, or 2) I will be utterly unable to find an opportunity to watch it "on demand"...

Oh, and I still haven't sent in my latest comic order...

And I got distracted by the end of The Incredible Hulk.

Development News... This morning produced some VERY promising results on the writing front; Chapter 4 of TDD-611 ...Final Movement is pretty much done, and Chapter 5 is underway - and if the rest of the evening is kind to me, I may just have the rest of that chapter done, bringing us finally to the end of "The Road To REIGNFALL".

Oh, and part of REIGNFALL Chapter 1 is "on the books". The piece in question was originally intended for TDD-611, but it's a better fit in TDD-612, as we warm up to The Main Event...

Elsewhat... Oh dear; just what is up with Outcasts? It's a decent premise, executed as well as you can expect from a Sci-Fi-phobic BBC - but just when they're finally breaking into the major stuff, what do we get? An episode centered on one character not being exactly who we've been led to believe. Yeah, that's really story arc critical - I don't think.

This is such a shame - a show with potential just withering on the vine in a late Sunday evening slot, shifted from prime-time Monday just as a pretty nifty plot twist crops up - *SPOILER* ...the shit-stirring "evangelist" turning out to be in contact with a transport ship on route to Carpathia with what sounds like a seriously hostile agenda... *END SPOILER* If this survives for a second season, PLEASE GET A WRITER/WRITERS WITH SOME SODDING BALLS.

That is all.
