Bloody hell, the students are celebrating - and a bit too loudly, perhaps. Of course, I have other matters to occupy my attention, such as shepherding my gear into order for tomorrow...

...but before then, I have some stuff to work on, including some polishing of the last chapter of the first season of my Minecraft videos - and the intro for the season premiere of Season Two. Should be fun!

Okay, Ill be needing a somewhat early start, so I'll not waste any more time. Catch you later, Dear Reader...!

I'm recovering, gradually - in fact, I was expecting to be more exhausted today having walked more than ten miles yesterday. Had it not been for "The Wrong Step", I would probably be feeling pretty damn good about now, and not be taking tomorrow off to recuperate. Thankfully, no equipment was damaged beyond a scraped casing (yup, the new smartphone), and no bones were involved, so I should be thankful, and leave it at that... apart from writing to the local paper about the cyclist who just couldn't be bothered...

Okay... Ultima Online, and a "free-wheel" to bedtime. I feel that I'll be sleeping better tonight.

Bloody hell - does Star Trek Online NOT like being ignored... it just crashed Firefox, as I went to write this. If I ever see another Scoodian Science Vessel...

Other things NOT Star Trek Online... YES, such things DO exist. Such as Day One of Work Slot 2 - a "quiet" session, event-wise if not in volume. At least the afternoon was a "long one", and there's bonus pay for a Saturday, so that's probably a new ship paid for. (DAMN!)

Meanwhile, I have the conclusion of PIRATES OF FREEPORT sketched out, and it could make the next "episode" GHOSTS OF FREEPORT very interesting!

The exams are done. Good. Maybe I can start my year properly now.

Today started a whole bunch earlier than planned, as individuals I can only assume were students woke me up at 0400 with their running up and down the hill, bawling their heads off. As a result, several exam-attendees got some stern tellings-off for even momentary breach of regulations. It felt good.

Also approaching feeling good in general is me. I seem to have "broken the back" of my cold - or at least I hope so. Not a moment too soon, as I'm about to kick off an extended weekend that I very much hope, and INTEND to enjoy. I have a writing target to meet as well, time permitting...

And Finally... Prisoner Watch...
96 - Watch the original version of The Prisoner in its entirety (7/17)
Almost halfway!

ITEM! Ended up not going in to work today, 'cause by the time the meeting was over, it was, lunchtime included, pretty much too late for doing anything worthwhile, and the door was locked.

Managed to get some more Christmas shopping done instead.

ITEM! talking about the meeting: Yesssss - students are still bound by exam rules while the scripts are collected, and that means I can take no sh8 when they flout the instructions to "sit silently, facing the front". A little taste of payback for the noisy a-holes wandering down the road outside my bedroom window almost every night. All within reasonable limits, mind...

ITEM! Captain America co-creator Joe Simon died. Whenever creators pass away, you wonder whether they understood how many people loved their work, their creations - at least Cap got the movie he deserved, hopefully two if The Avengers rocks like it should.

ITEM! I see that Frozen Planet is getting the pre-Christmas push for its DVD-BluRay release. That was something that should have been awesome from start to finish - it looked GLORIOUS in High Definition, but boy did it peter out in the last two episodes. Sorry, but natural history shows about humans never quite grab the attention.

I'm still in mid-seethe about these sodding students. No matter what they say about the police, the way events unfolded last night was all THEIR fault. Sorry if that offends anyone - no, actually, I'm NOT sorry. In fact, I have absolutely no sympathy left - the RIOTERS last night got off lightly, and they should be down on their knees thanking their respective deities for it.

I'm not a "Tory", or a "Royalist". I'm not trying to make excuses for ANYONE. I'm just sick of this current attitude of "fight makes right" - if you don't get what you want, smash up something that's someone else's. From "keying cars" to pissing on the Cenotaph - that's a jump FAR too far. In all honesty, the police aren't being anything like "heavy-handed" enough. "Heavy-handed" is what you get in Iran and Zimbabwe - do these "protesters" really want police dropping grenades into their midst from a helicopter, or something equally abominable?

I'm sick of these "student" scum crying foul, playing the "poor victim". You surrendered the moral high ground the moment one of your "anarchist" friends threw a fire extinguisher off the roof of Millbank, intending to hit the police several stories below.

Don't forget, my dears, that I can wield considerable power over you.

Ultimate power, however, is not mine to exercise - but it most definitely is in the possession of the special security detail travelling with the Royals who were accosted last night. Those "students" might have been seconds from getting bullets in their heads... and that's why these idiots aren't fit to earn degrees.

Students - Stop bloody whining. It's clear you won't be shelling out to the tax-man to pay for all the extra policing, and all the repairs needed after your "peaceful protests". If you can afford flares and paintball guns, you can afford to pay for your education.

Did you vote at the election? If not, then just shut the fuck up.

Anonymous - You're not big, and you're not clever. How much intelligence does it take to click a bloody mouse on "Yes, I am prepared to let you install malware on my computer so that I can 'stick it to The Man'". Stop trying to ruin Christmas for everyone.

Do you actually pay for anything? If not, then just shut the fuck up.

****leaks - Are you TRYING to start a freaking war? Stick to revealing "secrets" about flying saucers, willya? Funny how you've not released any of that - waiting for a juicy movie deal, perhaps?

Just shut the fuck up.

99% of the world either don't give a toss, or very shortly will stop giving a toss. That or they're waiting with bated breath for your precious "voluntary botnet" to blow up in your faces.

Planning to "hack" me for my "traitorous talk"? So much for your oh-so-precious "internet freedom" - I guess that means "freedom to agree with us, on pain of hacking". I am FREE to disagree with ALL of you - and guess what...? I disagree.

I voted Liberal Democrat. I got a grant for my degree course, and came out IN THE BLACK at the end of it. I didn't get the £30 a week "training allowance" school pupils get now. Sure there's injustice, but I'm seeing it on ALL SIDES.

Live with it, and don't be a cry-baby. You want respect? EARN IT.

You only have yourselves to blame. And blame you we do.

You keep complaining about how the Liberal Democrats aren't keeping their promise about abolishing student tuition fees - how can they, when they DIDN'T WIN THE ELECTION? If you lot had gotten off your sorry drunken asses and VOTED, not only would the Lib-Dems have to make good on their promise to you, as the new Government, they would also have had to make good on their policies concerning unemployment, which were a whole bunch more positive than Iain Duncan Smith's dole slavery - which was why I voted for them.

You held the balance of power, my dears, and you squandered it. Now shut up, and suck it up.
The Patent Dragon has spoken.
