It's now March, so it's time for the February 2010 Mission 101 Update!
Completed!
43 - Stop watching so much repeat crap on Dave
- Yes, I am now watching South Park repeats on Viva, but now that they're going from Season 1 to Season 2, hopefully they'll run through all the available episodes, and get us up to date - the mainstream UK audience is about five seasons behind. Also, none of the episodes have so far been repeated, unlike the Dave shows...
1 - Lose a meaningful amount of weight
- I now have a figure for this task, and that is a weight loss of at least 10 kilos.
3 - Complete at least 100 worthwhile walks (at least one hour outdoors) a year (14/100, 0/100, 0/75)
- More to come VERY soon.
9 - Cook dinner at least once a month (2/33 +2)
- fish and chips, ice cream and chocolate sauce last Tuesday!
28 - Watch one "classic" film a month (2/33)
- Last month's "bonus" - Brighton Rock - gets promoted, due to family complications. Must watch a classic in March, as I don't have any "bonuses" left to burn.
29 - Buy a book a month from an actual bookshop (2/33)
- Latest purchase is The Light Fantastic. Hooray for Sir Terry Pratchett!
42 - Get comic orders in more promptly (2/33)
- Only just, mind you...
86 - ...chronicle my efforts!
- Yor're reading it. Again.
6 - Save lie-ins for weekends only
- the start on this is rather tentative, I must admit. Work days certainly help.
7 - Learn to cook 12 dishes (1/12)
- Sweet and sour chicken stir-fry with noodles! I'll definitely be doing that again very soon.
55 - Take more photographs
- A new camera + a 4gb memory card = over 1500 photographic opportunities...
56 - Create a proper album of best photos
- ...and some candidates for an album already!
57 - Design and establish new personal web-site, with actual content
- Got the domain name - thepatentdragon.com. Next, the hosting...
66 - Get back into the habit of properly balancing my finances
- Getting regular statement slips, and keeping them safe. Planning to cancel my old dial-up net plan ASAP.
79 - Protest against CLAN
- Well under way with newspaper items, and an airing of grievances at the Community Police Consultation earlier this month. No major public response yet, so maybe some more action is needed. "Dear Editor of The St Andrews Citizen..."
88 - Create usable stage/screen/cosplay props of three pieces of costume or equipment from my own projects (0/3)
- Currently researching crafting techniques, courtesy of instructables.com, and gathering materials...
89 - Create a portable list of tasks for on-the-hoof reference and updates
- I carry a hand-written list with me all the time. A printed list would be better; especially one tailored to fit my new Mission book!
Now WHAT Does THAT Mean...?
Your monthly guide to what the hell I'm on about. This month... well, I'd rather like you, dear reader, to choose what needs explaining. Most of it should be fairly clear - but if it isn't, let me know!
In closing... Not many completions, I know, but so far, I'm very pleased with how things have started. I should be able to post some more completions fairly soon, as I get into the meat of the year.
