Sometimes, You Just Want To Smash A Mouse...

Well, whoopee. The netbook is being a bitch.

I've finally been able to switch off that stupid touchpad "pinch zoom" thing, but not before I discovered that The New Toy does NOT like optical mice... and one died for the intense annoyance this caused me tonight - welcome back Frustration Rabies... how I've missed you (NOT). I'm hoping the bizarre behaviour of every mouse I tried - the pointer got stuck at the bottom of the screen, and defied all attempts to scroll back up the page - is just a reaction to this damn pinch-zoom thing, and I will never come across it again...

At the same time, I was trying to get the new story-blog installed at dominicore.com. There was a false start, as the software installed itself to the wrong folder, so that you got nothing from tobecontinued.dominicore.com, but I fixed that, and started work on setting the blog up for a possible posting before the weekend expires.

Yeah, some hope. Think I'll just head for bed, and write the old fashioned way. Better than nothing, I guess.

Bollocks To This

Fine.

I just wanted the "To Be Continued" blog installed in a sub-domain, but Wordpress totally and completely fails to be of any use to me, refusing to implement any of the graphical changes I need to make the new blog functional. I upload a graphic, or link to an image, and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING APPEARS.

I have absolutely NO confidence in this piece of software, and I will be scrapping it from dominicore.com shortly.

Looks like I'll be getting another Diaryland journal instead. Those always work, and are SO EASY TO CUSTOMISE.

*UPDATE* Wordpress is now uninstalled, and I'm not going back. Ever. Simple as that. I've been through too much hassle this weekend with that piece of utter sh8. I'd gone beyond "Frustration Rabies" and was heading towards "supernova" levels. You can count another weekend as royally fnajed up.

The new story will, therefore, be delayed a bit. Probably a lot.
