YES. Back on the broadband, and so far, things're looking pretty good!

Meanwhile, on the news... Hardly surprisingly, the German school shooting incident continues to dominate the news today - but how much of it all can you take seriously? One moment, he's a "loner", the next he's the star of the table tennis team; one moment, he's supposed to have published some kind of internet "murder manifesto", the next, police are suggesting it's a fake; one moment, he was expelled from the school, the next, he graduated; one moment, he targeted girls, the next, any such pattern is a chance occurrence; one moment, the boy has a secret cache of weapons under his bed, the next, one of his dad's FIFTEEN GUNS was found to have gone missing...

The whole truth will, I'm afraid to report, never be known, now that the perpetrator is dead (one moment shot by police, the next he took his own life) - but it does appear to be a fact that this boy had mental problems, and only partially-treated problems at that. A not insignificant factor in the whole awful business, by the sound of it - but just watch it vanish from the story as the anti-internet and anti-gamer angles take centre stage.

Also meanwhile... NO. Taxation should NOT be used as a tool to "tackle increasing obesity" by slapping more tax on chocolate. The purpose of taxation is to raise funds for public services - not to affect social change.

And finally... Am I the only person to think that Michael Jackson won't manage to complete his "residency" of gigs at the old Millenium Dome...?
