"Trial Of A Legend" is pretty much "in the can", pending a final review of the story-"Future Flash" interface, which doesn't fully meet with my approval. It would, of course, have helped if I had thought to read the "flash" before I started...
I can at least derive some relief from the fact that posting time for the chapter in question is about two weeks away.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, these machines are "a menace", "a pedestrian's nightmare" and whatever other stupid "headline" you can come up with. I've never seen one on the streets, but apparently, they're everywhere, "nearly hurting" innocent children walking on the pavement, and so on and so forth.
Full of sound and fury, signifying nothing - and impressing nobody. This is the same government that has our police pursuing little girls for drawing a hopscotch grid on the pavement - can't they find any proper crime to deal with?
The latest wizard wheeze from the man that brought you "I want a ceasefire in Lebanon, but I'm still going to let US cargo planes shipping weapons to Israel refuel in Britain". What a dick.
*** UPDATE! *** Story problem fixed - or as fixed as it's going to be. The chapter in question has been significantly "retooled", and the actual "flash" sequence has been modified slightly - a glimpse of the future can't always be entirely accurate...
