In Today's Episode: Darkhawk and XSI continue to investigate what happened at Madrox's and Omiga's press event in the latest chapter of The Darkhawk Diaries. Meanwhile...
"Trial..." is all but completed... but a bit of a problem has arisen. This story is going to feature the last of the "Future Flashes" that featured in TDD a couple of years ago, and what's written didn't, until this afternoon, really provide a good fit for the couple of paragraphs that have already been written. Something of a rewrite may be required, which shouldn't pose too much of a problem, as only two of the projected ten chapters have so far been deployed, and those chapters don't have a major bearing on the main story.
Apart from that, the story has gone fairly well. However, I feel more pre-planning may be required for Season Five, to avoid the meandering that sometimes sets in when a story hits a quiet spot. The non-action stories this season have suffered particularly from this, and more structure is needed to avoid it - the messed-up summer certainly hasn't helped the creative flow.
The story following "Trial..." is more sketched out and pre-planned, and certainly can't be called "non-action". I will be going straight into a structured outline once "Trial..." is "in the can".
Meanwhile (again)... Yay for Film4! Imminent Studio Ghibli season (starting Friday)! Heavens be praised for Miyazaki goodness!
