Previously, I mentioned the rather hard-to-believe figure that the average woman spends £80,000 on shoes in a lifetime - well, shortly after that figure was presented to the public on British TV, another show put forward a more viable figure of £18,000. Of course, the media loves to pounce on the first figure that comes to their attention, and as far as correcting the assumption goes, there ain't no such thing in the world of UK TV...

...and there's more... )

This was the best I could come up with, as I'm t i r e d . . . Project update tomorrow / today!

In Today's Episode: The plot thickens in The Secret Adventures of Mane-of-Night: Season Of The Wolf - another gang-girl has suddenly become suspiciously wealthy...

As promised, the crossover continues!

Meanwhile... one of England's most successful Commonwealth Games competitors tries to add to his medal tally today, but why would it be no surprise that almost no-one is aware of this feat? Could it be that he's a pistol shooter, and one of those sportsmen effectively legislated out of the country following the "Dublane Massacre"? One of those law-abiding gun-owners punished by the knee-jerk response to those deeply regrettable killings, whilst those in possession of illegal guns just carried on as normal, completely untouched by the law?

Our shooters have to go to Europe to train, and while they're doing that, handguns are fashion accessories for the "hip-hop" crowd, and no-one seems willing to go after them. Are the police that desperate to shake off the "institutionally racist" tag that they'll let black law-breakers off the hook, especially when there are prefectly good white people to persecute, especially when the law seems to be changing so rapidly, they can't help but get caught out...?

White against black or black against white - it's still racism, and it's still WRONG.

I changed the titles of the posted chapters of The Secret Diaries of Mane-of-Night to try and get the story back into its original order, having seen that the splitting of Chapter 1 was totally unnecessary. I was very eager to get the story online - perhaps too eager, as it transpired - and hopefully there won't be any need to mess around any more.
