TV Trivia...

Previously, I mentioned the rather hard-to-believe figure that the average woman spends £80,000 on shoes in a lifetime - well, shortly after that figure was presented to the public on British TV, another show put forward a more viable figure of £18,000. Of course, the media loves to pounce on the first figure that comes to their attention, and as far as correcting the assumption goes, there ain't no such thing in the world of UK TV...
Also... it was rather interesting to watch a programme on fat pets a couple of nights ago, in which a couple on Incapacity Benefit had a massively obese Rottweiler. The dog was more incapacitated than the two of them, and the "humans" in question seemed to have more than enough money to:
1) smoke like chimneys
2) have tons of jewellery
3) feed the poor animal steak and ox hearts and
4) if the woman's flick-of-a-switch temper is anything to go by, they get through an excessive amount of alcohol. The staff in the local dog parlour dared to comment on the dog's weight, and the woman was off the leash, refusing to accept that she was killing the poor beast, and even threatening to take them to court for slander!
I'm not a fan of dogs, but I hate to see any animal mistreated. I hope this pair get investigated by the benefits people, and the dog is taken off them and placed with more sensible people, who may just save its life. Well, you can but hope.
This was the best I could come up with, as I'm t i r e d . . . Project update tomorrow / today!
