22...

...nearly THREE WEEKS TO GO.

All of a sudden, six days of holidays don't seem like very long. A number of entertainment options have come to light... damn, I think I'm going to need the extended Easter weekend just to start making sense of all this.

Of course, whenever you take a moment to do something else, the spectre of all this crap about government plans to monitor phone calls, emails and web site visits descends on your day - plans that effectively turn us into China or North Korea. Oh, and the TV sucks, apart from the "new" South Park that I just have to sleep through...

Uh Oh - Trivia Nuggets... Holy crap - Despicable Me made more money, world-wide, than the following films... Home Alone... ...Empire Strikes Back... Ghost... Saving Private Ryan, and, to top it all, Jaws. Yeah, some of these are pre-blockbuster-era, but damn. That's some mountain to be looking down on.

However, these movies made more: Night At The Museum... Mamma Mia... and 2012. And the frigging Smurfs.

And no, I'm not going to inflate the take for The Hunger Games. I don't feel even remotely inclined to contribute to "the latest big thing" that I hadn't heard of until a month or two ago...

But first, Move News... The sale looks to be another step closer to being a done deal, and so the momentum for shifting stuff to Site B is gearing up a bunch. It would, however, help if I wasn't WORKING RIGHT NOW, which some people seem to forget...

Now, about that title... We appeared to have a "ringer" today - someone sitting an exam for someone else, or so the department rep quite firmly believed. However, the opinions in general were a) "what are we supposed to do about it?" and b) "does the subject really look that unlike their ID photo that we can question that person's validity?"

Towards the end of the exam, we had all the "big guns" out...

...and no further action was taken. A whole bunch of worry for no real purpose, in the end, but at least it kept the day interesting. If it hadn't, you, dear reader, would be stuck with crap like this...

Examination Trivia... Only five people were wearing checked or "plaid" shirts in this afternoon's session, and they were all doing Earth Sciences - geology, basically. Do they get extra marks for turning up "in uniform"?

Of Greater Interest... A major website find, namely setlist.fm! I was thinking how this Saturday's Rush set compared to the other two times I'd seen them, so I searched for the relevant information, and found the most excellent resource imaginable!

Coughing...? Better.
Sneezing...? Worse.
General "I'm Dying" Rating (0 = Feeling great, 5 = worst I've been for this illness) 3

Burnt my mouse-hand thumb and index finger on the cooker, but thankfully it hasn't impeded my activities this evening. However, the new house in Ultima Online isn't working out as I'd hoped, and I may have to consider a radically different approach. Unfortunately, I haven't got forever to work out the design...

On the other hand... The March To Season 6 continues at a far more satisfactory pace, with half of Chapter 3 of the Darkhawk season finale done, and eighteen days to go.

It can be done! Gotta keep telling myself that...

This just in... the original source of Plague is not rats, or their fleas, but marmots. Yes, cute, charming little marmots. Little furry bastards.

Did someone let one in here...?
