But first...

Development News... Oh yeah - Wreck of The Nemesis Chapter 2 is "in the can"! Ground has been broken on the third and concluding Chapter, and we could be looking at a possible posting start at the weekend (but as usual, expect it when you see it).

Meanwhile... Almost a month has passed, and there is still NO sign of any kind of tribute on TV for Gerry Anderson. I'm not impressed...

On a more positive note: Last week, I got a tax refund! Might not be much, but I've never had anything of that kind before, so Wheeeee!

Elsewhat... Damn it, this weather is gnawing away at my enthusiasm. Right now, The Office is *gasp* looking rather tempting.

Don't get me started about "global warming".

Gods, my sleep patterns are messed up... guess Civilization V until 4 in the morning isn't such a great idea. So, what else happened (apart from once again missing part of South Park's "Cartoon Wars")...?

Comics? Check! The parcel was waiting for me when I got home, and included the conclusion of Avengers vs X-Men (it was okay, and might perhaps be viewed better as a spring-board for what comes next than a milestone limited series - now let's hope (heh) Marvel will leave off the events for a while) and the introduction of the new, and somewhat controversial American Muslim Green Lantern (this is actually the most I've enjoyed post "New 52" GL, and I really hope they're not bringing in this new character only to have him die, heroically or otherwise, in the "Rise Of The Third Army" storyline that's just beginning).

Investments? Not quite a Check. Official stuff has changed, in only the space of a couple of weeks, that has forced me to rethink my plans. Terrific. A "second best" option now seems to be all that's feasible right now.

I could probably think up other stuff - like the office painting that was apparently completed this morning - but I would rather like to finish this in time for going to bed at a sensible time.

One day to X-COM: Enemy Unknown...

Development News... And there it is - TDD-612 REIGNFALL Chapter 5 is DONE. Chapter 6 is also underway, albeit in a "several paragraphs" fashion - but still, that's another step down the path to this season's conclusion...

...and that's about it for today. The Budget wasn't at all painful for this workin' man, and last night, the latest comic order went in with a little pruning - it's bad enough having titles at $3.99, but when there are TWO issues a month, that becomes an expenditure too far.

Thrilling, I know. In the mean time, ponder this: why has the Japan reactor crisis STOPPED being news...?

Mission accomplished - yes, it took an extra trip to town, but that's everything sorted business-wise, and the rest of the day is mine to try and fix the project-based short-fall. It could be that I've tried too hard to keep things going after Work Slot 2, and not let myself unwind enough, especially with the current hot spell we're having - which is due to expire some time tomorrow (Correction: make that tonight)...

Oh well, so much for summer.

Gonna now try to get something done about TDD-603 Part 4. The story needs done to allow things to progress - this concluding sequence is, after all, a direct prequel to MoN-203.

Let's just see how that goes.

In case anyone was wondering... the song that caused the problem was "Song Of Freedom" from the soundtrack of Doctor Who Season 4.

And fianlly... Get well soon, Susan Boyle. And screw you, bullies...
