In Case You Were Wondering...

"Decca Chains" = this...

Pity this isn't the right map.

And then, there are the boots I was augmenting the zips on yesterday (and successfully). They're the ones in my userpic (Pleaser Seduce 4061s, to the best of my knowledge, and hampered by a possibly judgemental web connection), which do have laces (ALL the way up!), but they also have "cheat zips" up the insides, which are more... well, convenient, but do have really teeny zip-pulls that are genuinely painful to use. Until now, of course. ;-)

Also, my elbow is all but healed - which is nice. The ankle is better, too, but maybe 80%.

Pissing Me Off Right Now... This stupid "jumping mouse pointer thing" - it makes quick actions in STO hard to manage, and dammit, I need the Dilithium wherever and whenever I can get it - my Science character needs that Atrox Carrier, and I don't really want to spend Real-Life cash on it if I can earn the Zen by cashing in collectable resources within the game itself. 2500 Zen (worth about £16 real money) at 160 Refined Dilithium a point equals... about 220,000 Dilithium, and given that you can refine 8000 Ore a day, that means 27-28 days of Dilithium grinding. I could be buying Zen with cash, as I've done in the past, but I'd like my characters to be "self-sufficient" these days.

Anyway, back to work... and Saints@Packers on iPlayer.

So I dropped another one. It was wet and rainy, and I was so cosy indoors that I fell asleep past midnight. So sue me.

Frickin' janitor hasn't discovered headphones yet, so nyah nyah I'm watching as much as I can of the Monday Night Football (GB@SEA)...

*growls* My ankle does not like sitting in this office - I thought it was the weather, but now the sun is shining, and it's still aching. Is it the way I'm sitting...?

The Mission 101 conclusion draws ever nearer. If I finalise at least half my charity penalties, that'll be a Task completed (Task 82) - provisionally. I can't see anything else getting completed in time.

My wounded ankle is bothering me, as the weather takes a turn, so I decided to look up the spot where it happened (hope this works):

56.345888, -2.817459 in case the embed fails. That piece of road has clearly been patched before, and in the last three years HAS decayed some. Interesting.

Meanwhile... Grrrr. The Redskins dropped another. RGIII is producing more yardage than a number of his predecessors, but it just doesn't seem to be enough to close the deal. Early days, I know, but you only get so many of those before things get serious, especially in the NFC East.

Also meanwhile... The wind is picking up, it's most likely raining (not that I care to go and find out for certain) - yuck.

Gods, I wish that frickin' janitor would find some other frickin' music to play at lunch-time. He has a play-list of about half a dozen tracks - if I hear "(I Wish I Was In) Dixie" (or whatever it's called) or "Anchors Away (A-Weigh?)" ONE MORE TIME...

ITEM! Finally catching up with the new football season, just in time to see my team go 1-2. Just like I caught up with the games deciding who plays in the AFL Grand Final, only to discover that the Magpies lost to the Sydney Swans - shame that doesn't feature on mainstream TV any more.

Huh? I'd heard that the Monday Night Football was getting covered on the BBC, but it's in iPlayer too? *looks* Yup. There it is... pity that iPlayer kinda prevents me doing other substantial net-stuff, or I'd be seriously looking forward to running the replay through the big TV. Might try some light STO...

ITEM! Next week features another milestone, above and beyond my Mission 101 conclusion; that being the final appearance of the Ponds in Doctor Who. The impact is going to have to be significant, as this split-season format is rather limiting the series, and preventing it from developing any interesting story-threads at present. The Dalek one was good, the following episode sneaked in a Silurian connection, which was intriguing, but nothing has really wowed yet. I suspect, however, that Saturday will deliver - last year's mid-season break managed to do that particularly well. In Moff We Trust.

ITEM! My elbow is gradually improving, my ankle is *shrugs* stable, I guess. I hope I'm ready for Patent Saturday.

ITEM! Considering my 2013 travel options. Could I be Monaco Grand Prix bound...?
