patentdragonIt WOULD have been a nice quiet day, but Firework Season has just begun (sadly), and somebody has been screwing around with using the school playing fields out back for target practice. Someone's cruising for a pretty hefty fine...
In More Welcome News... BB and SiL's Big Project is advancing, with work either ready to do or in the planning stages. A couple of stumbling blocks may be about to be overcome, and that's fine by me!
Project News... The Darkhawk season finale is now advancing into its "serious phase", where the main arc continues. I'm also tinkering with a few ideas for Mane-of-Night stories, plus some stories featuring either new characters (such as the mysterious "Emergency Intervention" team - hmmm, maybe they need investigation by a specialist agent... useful idea) or previous characters who've only had brief appearances (Glitterthorn's Lu-Khian agent Danshu, for example). Exactly how the latter stories would work into the overall continuity (maybe something to do with the newly-complicated Wyridaen situation... a multi-strand "cross-over", perhaps?), and where they would "air" remains to be seen. Gives me more to work on the week after next...
And Finally... Caught a rather interesting little show on TV this morning - "Skyland"; a French-Canadian CGI, with "cel-shaded" rather than photorealistic characters. The setting screamed "STAR WARS RIP-OFF!", the "hero-ship" looked almost exactly like one of the droid-fighters from "Phantom Menace", and they just had to go and spoil it by resorting to YET ANOTHER FUCKING PROPHESY - the most overused plot device EVER!
I'll stop now. Don't want to end up sounding like The Comic-Shop Guy from The Simpsons...
