Crisis Update! Aaaaah, shit. The dominicore.com hosting has expired, so I guess we can forget having the latest story up and running before Patent Saturday...
This used to auto-renew, but not any more. You used to be able to pay in funds to cover as much of your upcoming payments as you wanted, but noooooo, you can't do that any more. This is the only complaint I have about this service...
Blah blah regular programming blah blah...
Channel 4 is doing live late Sunday NFL games - but they're never available in "catch-up" format.
Question: WHY?
The BBC have been doing Monday Night Football for most (all?) of the season, and on Tuesday there it is, available to watch anytime over the subsequent seven days. I suspect this will be a side-effect of the deal "The Beeb" has with the league to show the Superbowl these last few seasons - is a masterplan to shift all NFL coverage to the BBC being pieced together?
It's a shame we don't have much choice in the matter, 'cause some of the Sunday games have clearly been superior to the MNF games - this week is a perfect example, with Giants-Packers on Sunday (two playoff contenders, and a possible NFC Championship match-up), and Monday's offering being... Eagles-Panthers (a team on the slide versus a team who're pretty much dead already). I know you can't predict how the season will shape up when the schedule is calculated, but... well, the option to choose which game to watch would help, and that's what we don't get - unless you want to shell out for satellite or cable, and I don't.
Meanwhile... Today has been okay, and has hopefully done the job as far as my medical situation is concerned. I just need to look after myself on the days I am working.
Following tonight's service outage panic, I haven't got the energy to do a story post tonight. I can cram it all in with a one-post-per-day schedule... ah, we'll have to see. I may be rushing things a bit too much...
