"Embrace The Medniss!"

In Today's Episode... The Pandemonicum Symphony: Final Movement continues, and the battle of Mystalorn moves up a gear as our heroines get directly involved - but will it be enough...?The Madness Begins... At last, we have it - Doctor Who, Season 6, Episode 1 - The Impossible Astronaut, and what can I say...?
Name me a show that could kill its star in the first ten minutes. If any show gets the top spot on the list, it has to be Doctor Who. "The Moff" puts a big spanner lovingly engraved with the words "Bet you never saw THAT coming!" in the works, then pats us on the back and says, "Hey, now watch this..."
Where is this going? Can there be an escape for our hero? Does he truly only have another two hundred years to live? One whole episode in, and the only things that are certain are that 1) The Moff has delivered another great alien (I hesitate to say "enemy", because nothing is certain right now) in the form of The Silence, and 2) we are in for one heck of a ride - we may just need the mid-season break to get our breaths back.
Doctor Who showed some serious maturity this evening, but hopefully, the show isn't about to lose sight of its roots. The BBC won't like a series they can't sell to a toy-hungry child audience any more...
Prediction - "Silence will fall" isn't a threat; it's a warning, and something to be avoided!
Random River Song Quote: "Jim The Fish...?"
The Final Verdict: Doctor Who gets dark, and rather labyrinthine. Demands your whole attention, and definitely needs a second viewing! 8/10
