The Review... The last stage show I saw was probably something Shakespearean when I was at school, but this was something on a whole different scale, in the same arena where I've recently seen The Scorpions, Judas Priest, Rush and Kiss. This has been a pretty gutsy move on the part of the BBC, taking their experiences from the two Doctor Who proms, and coming after a change-over from David Tennant, perhaps the most popular Doctor since Tom Baker, but my hopes were high, given that the story for the show takes as its direct inspiration from one of my all-time favourite Jon Pertwee stories, "Carnival Of Monsters"...

The result was the second most spectacular show I've seen following Kiss. To say too much would be to wander into spoiler territory, and the last thing I'd want to do is spoil the show for anyone still to see it. I've not covered everything in my gallery - partly 'cause I only got so many decent photos :D - but the photos give you some idea of the scope of things. This was a BIG production, an episode of the show with the audience as paying extras - paying, and most grateful for the opportunity to step into the world of The Doctor themselves, if only for a couple of hours.

If you're a fan, go see this. If you're not, don't deny your Who-fan children the opportunity to encounter some of the new incarnation of the show's more striking human-portrayed creatures. Imagine the deals you can strike in return... Score: 8/10
