It's like clockwork. Every time the "summer" weather starts to look good, the south-east coast of Scotland clouds over, and the wind kicks in. I finished work early(-ish), hoping to sit on the pier for a bit, but nooooo, the wind was coming off the sea, and I just headed home, thoroughly disappointed...

Also clockwork is the failure of the England soccer team. Yes, I'm going back on my word, and bringing up "that competition" again, but how pathetic can a sporting team be? I haven't watched the games, nor do I intend to - nor do I intend to have a laugh about it. The England team owe their fans the very best, especially when those fans spend thousands of pounds to travel to the other side of the world to hopefully see their team triumph. Every time, the hype is piled up, expectations inflated... the players are paid a small fortune A WEEK for domestic play, but the team leave their "brilliance" at home. I actually feel embarrassed for the fans.

What's there to look forward to? We're sorely lacking in big movies at the moment, a big disappointment given previous blockbuster seasons, but we are in Doctor Who finale season, as "The Pandorica Opens" - tonight's start of the two-part season ender. All the pieces are coming together, it seems - what truths will be revealed tonight...?

...and could THIS be one of them? In honour of tonight, I share another theory: River Song is ***POTENTIAL SPOILER*** the distant ancestor of Miss Redfern ("Human Nature", "The Family Of Blood") and Verity (from "The End Of Time")! ***END SPOILER***

Right. Time to get up, I think...
