Apathy Monday
28 Dec 2009 16:48Last night... Jeez, haven't the Redskins sucked this season? Not a single TD against the Cowboys this season, not a single win in the division... *sobs* All that remains now is to get thrashed by the Chargers...
Elsewhat... Vegging day today. Nothing serious is planned, just whatever development work happens to be inspired. I anticipate not a lot, although I'd rather like a small-scale printed copy of the timeline I unearthed yesterday.
An interesting thing... All Sikh names are unisex! I never knew that!
Shopping news... Great - netbooks are "on the way out", according to some sources. Manufacturers seem to be missing the point, apparently, going for higher and higher specs, and pushing up prices - all I need is a cheap, highly portable means of creating Wordpad .rtf files, with net access as a desirable but not essential bonus - the One Laptop Per Child people seem to be coming up with suitable alternatives, but these things never seem to be available for public consumption. Bloody typical...
And finally... Oh dear - school children are using proxy servers to get around school internet restrictions... but that's making them even more vulnerable to log-on theft and the more unscrupulous elements out there. Laugh? I nearly sh8 myself...
