I was going to go to the local "Beltaine Fayre", which seems to be on every year, but which I always seem to miss in the wake of my birthday. This year, I decided, was going to be different. First, however, I had stray birthday stuff to pick up, which took longer than anticipated, so that when I got to the venue, there was about an hour left of the event...
...and an entry fee to the venue of £5.20.
£5.20 for one hour? Screw that.
So ends the story of my messed-up birthday weekend. I'm due a huge lie-in, and I'm having that tomorrow, no matter what. Monday's a shopping trip, and Monday evening, I may just go to the movies (provisionally)...
At least tonight's Doctor Who, "The Poison Sky", was satisfying, with my prediction from last week coming true, albeit in altruistic fashion, and ***SPOILER*** it was nice to see the Valiant show up again ***END SPOILER***. Also ***SPOILER*** who blinked and missed the sneaky Rose appearance? As I expected, any visit to present-day Earth includes hints of impending Rose-age, which seems to fit with my Rose Theory (see below)***END SPOILER*** Next week looks like it should be... interesting.
Rose's Earth AKA "Pete's World" (Season 2) is in deep doo-doo, most likely involving Daleks escaping from The Void - the word is there will be a Dalek story this season. The Daleks are either using Rose in an attempt to get at the Doctor, or she is somehow sneaking out to try and make contact, as was definitely suggested tonight. I'll update this as more evidence emerges...
