The University was supposed to be having an exhibition of Japanese pop-culture at the town hall this afternoon.

They shouldn't have bothered. What a completely feeble showing, and not even quarter-hearted, let alone half-hearted. I was reminded of a hospital waiting room, probably at some clinic for some embarrassing and painful men's complaint. Sorry if I sound excessively scathing about this, but damn it I left work early to get there in plenty of time to take everything in... but it only took ten minutes, and that's including the time it took to eat a few salted cashew nuts.

It's taking longer to write this damn post.

Development News... The new Darkhawk story now has a title - and a completed first chapter! Watch out for TDD-606 The Ragged Edge! The chapter got a last minute addition - and that hints at things to come. Something that's been coming for quite a while.

However... My earlier posting was very quickly consigned to the black hole of irrelevance as news dawned about today's shootings in Cumbria - the toll presently stands at twelve dead (thirteen including the shooter himself), twenty-five injured. I have, however, been doubly sickened - by the tragedy, and the idiots on Twitter cracking jokes or complaining that their soap has been cancelled. I don't blame the service - apparently Twitter enabled police and neighbours to send out warnings - but some "people" really are soulless fnajers, and it's a terrible shame that they still live, while twelve decent, (hopefully) blameless people do not.

Mama Universe just reminded us that all our petty bullsh8 can suddenly come to a terminal halt so damn fast. Pity so few are listening. Dust in the wind, boys and girls - dust in the wind.
