...or is everything running slower after "Wireless Web War I"? It could be that exposure to the 21st Century net given this PC a case of "future shock", or "stuck in a traffic jam" syndrome, but I'd like my set-up to be problem-free when The Proper Broadband starts up, maybe as little as a week from now - and don't remind me that the laptop problem still needs to be addressed...

I would be posting a full review of the latest comic order, but that still needs work, so maybe tomorrow. As far as project work is concerned, I'm kinda thinking I need another "Big Push", or a holiday - all this broadband hassle hasn't helped, and several weekends have passed since I'd mentioned a potential finish date of "the weekend" for MoN-202 "Mane-of-Night And The Watcher From Beyond". An early log-off and a bit of "quiet time" might help, but that's in somewhat short supply right now - perhaps this weekend will yield an opportunity.

Or, alternatively, I just have to buckle down, and get stuff done. Sadly, the creative process and that kind of approach just don't mix.

Development News... Yes, trying to force the creative process may be counterproductive (see yesterday), but if you can just make the time to quietly focus on the matter at hand, you can at least make some headway, and that's better than none at all. MoN-202 "Mane-of-Night And The Watcher From Beyond" isn't exactly back up to full speed but, in motor racing terms, it is in the pits getting refuelled for a fast lap.

Meanwhile... Ah, crap - there's another Friday the 13th next week. Oh, and November, too. Is there some kind of record for the most Friday 13ths in a year...?

*looks it up* Yeah, three is the limit, and a few more years like this are due in the next decade...

At least this time of the week seems to be good for my messed-up ear. Like last week, my hearing's been at its best on a Friday. Screwy.

On a less freaked-out note, I'm hoping to get some materials for up-and-coming craft projects in the next week or so. Searching for the necessaries on eBay is, however, a whole lot easier with broadband, when pages load in seconds - and while I'm on the subject, doesn't it SUCK when the "larger image" isn't?

And finally... Cajun Squirrel flavour crisps taste pretty good. Must be American grey tree-rats, not Britain's magnificent reds (or alternatively, there's no squirrel in them at all, as one would expect from the British food industry)...
