The postmen and related delivery personnel have been busy recently, but no more so than today. An eBay purchase, a birthday present (not for me) - and a comic delivery! The latter was expected this week, but this is a good deal earlier in the week than normal. This normally counts as a "hooray!", but this has managed to torpedo writing for the day. Damn it.
(That, and working through Season 5 of Babylon 5...)
At least a return to non-steam-powered internet should be fairly close at hand, all the arrangements having been made last night. I hope this will be a smooth set-up - at least I have a decent idea what to expect this time. Right now, it really does feel as though almost every site I visit was sneakily upgraded for broadband as soon as I got it, and now everything loads like a limping slug...
Even so, I've been able to "retool" my "original blog", or more correctly the blog at the site that rose from the ashes of my original blog, which was at Diary-X until that had a conclusively terminal failure. Don't exactly know what I'll do with it now that I'm getting semi-regular with it - could be more... "business"-related, perhaps?
And finally... To Twitter, or not to Twitter? I'm leaning towards "not to Twitter", 'cause I can't really see much use for it at present. Like most web innovations, I'll keep an eye on it, in case it manages to reach "killer app" status, but right now, it's like MySpace was a couple of years ago - too much of a damn buzzword.
