Oh yeah, riiiiight. The Chinese ambassador isn't going to take part in the Olympic torch relay in London, beacuse she's got "another meeting" to go to - so, our Prime Minister can't say "Oh, sorry, I can't take part in your torch event-thing because I find the trampling into the dirt of human rights in your country and any associated conquered territories fundamentally repulsive"?

Oh no, of course not - we have to kiss Chinese ass or what? They'll keep the Olympics? We won't be invited to host another one? Well, we did have to over sixty years for 2012 - and do you seriously think the UK will get another Olympics this century after producing a logo that - and let's not beat about the bush - looks a whole lot like Lisa Simpson performing an "inappropriate act" on someone?

The "procession" is going to be on TV, that's for certain, and a lot of people will be watching just to see the "Free Tibet" protests, and just how embarrassing that'll be for Brown and Co.

Just move the Olympics to Greece, and keep them there.

Meanwhile... Spent much of the day perusing this month's comic delivery. Maybe I can squeeze in some reviews this month...

Also meanwhile... 18,000 net users were monitored by British Telecom, without their permission, to "test new advertising software" or some such bullshit. Like we believe nothing was recorded...

Bad timing, fellas. I'm still in the market for broadband. Ain't buyin' shit from you.

Also also meanwhile... WTF? Is this some kind of epidemic - a particularly contagious form of redesign-the-web-site-itis...? First the BBC, then Comicbook Resources - strange how two totally unrelated sites now look strangely similar...

On the bright side... Some piece-of-shit DJ who released a particularly annoying record last year has managed to lose the ONLY copy of his "new album" in his luggage at the new, and problem-ridden Heathrow Terminal 5. Ha. Ha. Ha - that's justice. May that one piece of luggage NEVER be found.
