Turning Points?
5 Aug 2007 22:59In sporting news... Alonso gets penalised 5 places on the grid at Hungary for hold up Lewis Hamilton. Hamilton starts on pole. Hamilton wins. Maclaren get zero constructors' points from having their drivers finish first and fourth.
So, just how much of a good idea was it for Alonso to linger in the pits for eleven seconds in final qualifying, denying Lewis a chance at a last-gasp qualifying lap? Wouldn't it have been better to start from a legitimate second place on the grid, and perhaps employ your greater experience to leap-frog Hamilton at the start?
This may just have been the deciding race of the season - and boy did Alonso blow it...
In development... Chapter 4 is "in the can", 5 has been started - TDD-504 is on the verge of being ready to start posting. I'd like to have ground broken on Chapter 6 before I do that, and it's looking good for Chapter 1 going live this week. Now, let's see about making that happen.
