Weekend Aftermath, The

In development... "Huntress Rising" progresses - the sooner I'm done with this, the quicker I get back to it...
In The News... This is the first of me mentioning the attempted terrorist attack on Glasgow Airport, but I suspect it won't be the last.
If it is true that Dubya's "Department Of Homeland Security" did NOT tell us that they knew about it TWO WEEKS in advance, then fuck the lot of them. That should be enough reason to get our troops out, just to leave Bush's Crusaders to deal with it on their own.
The holiday-makers at Glasgow were lucky to emerge unscathed, but I don't think it was all to do with luck. The aborted London attacks had the security services on alert, and apparently that was enough to allow US Homeland Security to "not bother" letting us know what they knew. If anyone had died at that airport, Dubya would be getting sued right now. And rightly so.
On the "troops out" thing... I believe we should stay until the job is done, but right now, I want our troops home, just so all the peace-campaigners can see how the "war" won't just stop once the last Blackhawk flies out of Baghdad. For every soldier killed, about 50 Iraqis die from being suicide-bombed by "the resistance" - somehow I doubt that's going to stop when we're not there, just when the "insurgents" are having so much fun.
Notice how I've barely mentioned the actual Glasgow "bombers". That's because they were shit - can't even kill themselves properly. They should be thankful they hadn't killed anyone, 'cause burning to death would've be preferable to having several hundred revenge-hungry Glaswegians after you...
TV - Last Night... What was Kill Bill Volume 2 on TV for? They haven't shown the first one yet, as far as I can tell. Schedulers, line up from a smack upside the head...
TV - Today... Yay! Martha Jones in Torchwood, season 2!
And Finally... I was going to include a "what's my blog rated" thingy here - apparently it's NC-17, courtesy of the government and media video-games hysteria - but the link is a sneaky advert for a dating site, so fuck it.
Guess that got me an R, now...
