Rest And Be Thankful...
2 Dec 2006 00:02A more mundane "PatSat" than I could have had, with events significantly affected by the arrival of the latest comic delivery (reviews later, okay?).
For The Uninitiated... Erik Larsen talks Dave Cockrum... - an excellent overview of a great artist and creator. Mention is made of Ms Marvel #20 - probably the first comic I truly appreciated, and treasure to this day - and apparently Mr Cockrum was a great fan of Star Trek, like Yours Truly.
One day, I'm going to get myself a piece of original Cockrum art. That iconic first page of Ms Marvel #20, or any classic Storm or Phoenix would be the dream, but that would probably require a lottery win, given the popularity of the characters. Still, it's something to aim for.
Oh, and Dave Cockrum shared a birthday with my mother. Spooky.
And Finally... Hmmm, Days Of Thunder on TV, or a PD fave on DVD...
Naaah. No contest. Cherry, Harry and Racquel, here I come.
