Tonight's TV
14 Oct 2006 22:07Just finished watching an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit which, at first, looked like it was going to pull the old "look out - fetish monster killer" thing. However, the "monster" turned out to "be violent" on account of his mother trying to beat his shoe/foot fetish out of him - and she actually ended up being the murderer anyway.
I was pleasantly surprised to see something other than the typical sensationalism. Unfortunately, the son was still the "quiet, inadequate" type... oh, and the official website seems to lack the all-important episode guide, unless I didn't look close enough.
That was pretty much the highlight of the whole evening. Missed the second episode of the new rehash of "Robin Hood", but that's no "biggie". We could certainly do with some South Park these days, but that stopped being fashionable enough for terrestrial TV about three years ago. That idea probably came from the assholes that decided not to repeat The Goodies.
Meanwhile... Better get back to the writing. Don't want to "run aground" again with just a few chapters of "Lockdown" left to go.
