In Today's Episode... "Shattered" begins, as Darkhawk tries to find some escape from her condition, only to find that trouble is never far away...

Release notes... This is a short piece, setting the stage for things to come. Chapter 1 is a nice excuse for a bit of action, which is a relief after all the damn talking.

Development News... TDD-508 "-title withheld-" is moving into rather familiar territory at present - somebody else has already "been there, done that"... but I think I'm going to run with it. Different characters, different objective - there is a valid reason for it all. This story is going too well to "unpick" a chunk of it now.

On TV Tonight... The season finale of Primeval, and oh dear, what a disappointment. ITV's "displaced dinosaurs" series had moved into conspiracy territory throughout the first six episodes of the seven-episode season, but the tendancy of UK shows to have short runs compared to their US counterparts mean that their "big stories" are sometimes not quite big enough, as was the case here. The "mole" turns out to be a plain-and-simple, unadventurous cookie-cutter comic-book villain, and nothing like enough is made of "The Other Plan", except for the cliffhanger ending that is going to keep this reviewer watching. Someone clearly knows a whole lot more than they're telling...

One final note: if you're going to *SPOILER* kill a major character *end SPOILER*, make us care. That feeling was rather lacking - unless that was as intended. Another side-effect of short show runs...
