patentdragonStill sick - yeah, that's good. I'm coughing my lungs out, and at the worst, it's like they're being steam-rollered against my rib-cage, whilst my brain is being punched, and punched hard, from below. This entry should be being sponsored by bloody Lockets...
Ultima Online is being a right bitch - they changed something without warning, and it's had a major effect on how and why I play the game. Okay, maybe they're trying to stop the dodgy folk who harvest gold and sell it on the net for real money, but they're hurting the real players too. Like that counts for much these days.
Oh, and a whole evening's play suddenly got wiped out because a fundamental part of UO's party system didn't work, and no-one in my party could recover a single thing from my character's corpse before it was lost, in a place where I couldn't get to it.
Wha...? I owe my comic suppliers how much? I don't frigging think so. I think I see the problem, and I'll phone them up tomorrow.
In The Non-Suck Column... A chapter is just about due for "The Helfyre Legacy". I'm going to try and make in-roads on the epilogue chapter, once I'm done here, and once I've given the last full chapter a final read-through and A-OK. It's a double-length chapter (at least), so there's quite a bit to look at.
Comics mini-review... Birds of Prey #112 (DC) - hey, that's an unusual way to handle the death of a character. *SPOILER*Amish horse-cart vs. combine harvester? *END SPOILER* It works, and any shortcomings (I don't see any) are more than swept aside on the last page. Even if you don't like the title, or the characters, I dare you not to be moved by that toast.
