Tomorrow... Giants - Dolphins at Wembley. There will actually be highlights later that evening (BBC2) - oooh, lucky us :P
Today... ...Zelda - Phantom Hourglass is managing to piss me off. Got it on Thursday, and it's very pretty, with amazing graphics for a hand-held, but there's always something to catch you out, kill you, and have you reloading... only to find you're almost back at the start of the dungeon you were in. You have to be so damn careful to get back to where you were without losing a life or two.
Meanwhile, both Pokemon games continue to engage me, and eat a perhaps too significant chunk of my time.
Yesterday... My great-aunt is back home, but not without hassle. Fehfacksache they were going to send an ambulance here to pick her up to go to the hospital when she was already there, and when that ambulance was cancelled, they managed to cancel the ambulance that was supposed to take her home that day as well! Ah, the joys of New Labour health care in the UK...
But wait! There's more! They're going to give nurses the final say on resuscitations, to avoid unnecessary loss of "patient dignity". You have got to be fucking kidding. If my experience of nurses is anything to go by, with the exception of the ICU nurse who looked after my grandmother in her final days (before New Labout got their claws in, I should add), they'll be quite happy to switch off all the patients just so then can have a quiet life, and uninterrupted tea breaks. They have no idea of what "dignity of patients" is.
And finally... Gonna try and write tonight. The laptop can wait.
