Grrr - it's a real pain when machines 1) don't do what they're supposed to do, or 2) stop doing things they did without fail before. Nothing terminal, just damned annoying...
...and then, just to make matters worse, there're people out there making a point of making the whole technology thing even more annoying, like the wasters who have nothing better to do than write viruses, or create fake anti-spyware programs - I just saw a pretty scary list of all the fake programs out there. You should be allowed to stone those kinds of people to death, or at least shit in their mouths.
Anyway, back to something more uplifting: it's good to see Led Zeppelin get some recognition these days, this time in the UK Music Hall of Fame award-show-thing. I would, however, be more impressed if it was actually a UK Music HoF, not another excuse to give an accolade to some other country's musicians. I'm not saying that James Brown or Bon Jovi aren't deserving of the honours they've accumulated - far from it - but wouldn't it be nice to stand up for your own country's music for a change?
Got to be thankful for small mercies, I guess - at least they weren't kissing the ass of Radiohead again.
And Finally... If I've read the press releases right, it looks as though the "Jane Longhurst" law won't apply in Scotland, which will apparently have its own legislation on the matter. Sensible legislation, or ideally no legislation at all, if there's any real justice.
