patentdragonIn The News... I really don't have much of an opinion of the buy-out of YouTube, as I've never visited the site. G**gl*, however, are helping to support China's oppression of its own people, and so I guess it's natural to be sceptical. I did take a quick look at the comments being posted on the BBC News web-site, but somebody clearly decided this news was the perfect opportunity to get all "anti-American"... *sighs* these wacky Inter-Web people.
Of course, it would be completely different if the whiners were the ones selling off something they created from next to nothing for nearly a billion quid.
Alternatively... NYPD Blue is back on UK TV, in one of its final seasons. Excellent!
Also most noteworthy... Something funny and genuinely worthy watching, all for £5.97 from Woolworths - The Goodies - At Last!. Classic episodes from the team that are so unjustly overlooked in British comedy discussions - "Kitten Kong" is a true classic, and the "Desiree Carthouse" episode, created mainly to upset Mary Whitehouse, is a work of genius. The show the BBC wouldn't repeat "because it's too dated" is anything but!
A welcome taste of a more innocent age.
And Finally... Interesting how North Korea is dropping off the news-scope. Enjoy it while you can, ostriches.
