More medals! That's 6 Gold, 6 Silver and 5 Bronze - should be 7 Golds, but for a disqualification in the track cycling. We're now fourth in the medal table, and we have several big names in competition tonight who should be adding to that tally... in fact, as I write, we may just be in for another rowing medal...
*waits...*
...make that SIX Bronze medals, with a 3rd in the men's single sculls for Alan Campbell. None of our boats have missed out on their respective finals, I believe, so plenty to cheer about there!
So far, the doom-sayers have been dumb-struck, apart from some issues with empty seats, and the sad news of a cyclist being killed by an Olympic media bus. Without hesitation, I say that Britain has delivered - and we've only just started the athletics. All the grumblers complaining about the "rich man's Games" don't seem to have dented the public's enthusiasm. Nobody is outraged by the cost now that the medals are coming in. Not a dissenting voice has been raised, now that we ALL have something to cheer about for a change.
Oh, and the sun has come out for EVERYONE.
Meanwhile... Following on from that Anonymous story yesterday, it appears that a "hacker" trying to impress "Anon" has instead incurred their wrath by attacking and defacing a charity site to showcase his "mad skillz". Now, will they hand this miscreant over to the authorities, or just secretly fold him into their hacker army...?
