Oh great, another "holiday" carved up before I'd even gotten my breakfast down my throat - but thankfully, I was not only able to get SOMETHING done before dinner, but I actually achieved something I'd had in mind from the moment I heard it was available...

Get Mirror Universe costumes for my Star Trek Online characters!

Yes, I like Andorians. Say hello to Lieutenant Lin'rii "Whiplash" Zohr! Meanwhile, I now have a "cheat card" roughed out for starship operations, so USS Winnowill isn't likely to go floundering about the place again any time soon. I think I can look somewhat less amateur in combat now.

Happy (-ish) day!

Update: I just gave up on Star Trek Online - I can't make sense of anything.

Well, that romance didn't last long. Just hours after seeming to settle down with the game, I find myself turning my back on Star Trek Online. The frustration factor is just way too high for me to have any FUN.

So, let's see what's wrong...

- Bloody awful ship control. One key press, and the ship's going entirely the wrong way, and it takes ages to correct. It makes no sense...
- HORRENDOUS ground mission controls. We took on some Klingons, and I maybe killed two or three out of twenty. Most of the time, I was shooting the ground - why was it so sodding easy in the frigging starter tutorials, and the first mission??? The target selection absolutely did NOT work.
- Insufficient mission information. What point is there in having a "log" that DOESN'T record the exact location of your destination?
- And don't get me started on the fucking interstellar navigation! (See above)

If I ever want to look at this sodding game again, I WANT A COMPLETE FUCKING MANUAL. OFF-LINE. GIVE ME A FRIGGING .PDF.

This has been a really shitty day, game-wise. I may just take a chance at some more Skyrim - that I can play, and enjoy.
