Nurturing "The Tree"
9 Feb 2012 23:57Every now and then, I come up with story ideas that take years to become actual written pieces, such as Reignfall - each has "its proper time". Another such event is coming up in the newly-commenced latest Traveller story, which will feature a "crossing of the ways" with other, more high-profile heroes who're heading into a period of turmoil that goes well beyond WORLDS COLLIDE - remember that spreadsheet...?

Well, this is a column that got left off of that diagram, and as I think about it, I see things becoming a whole heap more convoluted after "WC" (the red column), whilst avoiding another "ground-shaking event". As a fan of super-hero comics, I know all too well how messed up stuff can get as "event addiction" gets a hold on creative types.
On the other hand... I had an idea for an "entry level" story for my "universe". It is, however, vaguely reminiscent of another series of stories I wrote pre-interwebs, so maybe a different approach would be required. What I have in mind (provisionally) is the first of a new series of "commercially viable" productions - hey, it's that or a "reboot", and I'm buggered if I'm going down that road.
