You'd laugh if it wasn't such a damned indictment of literacy today...
Subversive: adjective - tending to subvert or advocating subversion, especially in an attempt to overthrow or cause the destruction of an established or legally constituted government.

subvert: Verb - to overthrow (something established or existing); to cause the downfall, ruin, or destruction of; to undermine the principles of; corrupt.
How does someone studying a modern language at degree level - and a native English speaker at that - not know the meaning of the word subversive? Yes, it may be difficult to articulate the meaning without a dictionary at hand - you know what it means, but can't quite get it off the tip of your tongue - but come on. Put aside the sodding smartphone and get the bloody dictionary out once in a while, will you?

On a lighter note, as the post title suggests, an announcement had to be made today that, in one exam, there was no question 11 - and yes, it was significant. Some people would really, honestly, be dumb enough to put an answer for Question 12 in the box provided for a non-existent Question 11...

So, now back to Prisoner-Watch:
96 - Watch the original version of The Prisoner in its entirety (4/17)
- would've been 5/17 last night, but I was falling asleep.

Another two episodes tonight, and some more writing. Mane-of-Night and The Brave New World proceeds satisfactorily - pity I don't get a proper weekend this week.
