Brighthawk News... I might've alluded to a commencement of new story posts last weekend. That was the intention, but it didn't manage to materialise (translation: I dropped the ball). Tomorrow. Definitely.

If it wasn't for Steve Jobs, and the Mac, I wouldn't be doing this right now.

However, I do not feel the slightest urge to take part in this "feeding frenzy" of "iMourning". Some of it is downright vomit-inducing, and I'm not talking about the way the man is being treated as the sole individual responsible for "The Information Age". His "innovations" have involved taking what already existed - the personal computer, the tablet, the mobile phone, the MP3 player - and turn them into objects of desire with over-inflated price-tags. There's a reason why we was so damn wealthy... where, may I ask, is the £200 Mac? Oh right - it doesn't exist.

Jobs leaves family and friends who will quite rightly mourn his passing. The rest of us? A little perspective would be a good idea.

Ooooh, look - new South Park...

Update! Damn it. DAMN IT.

I was thinking earlier today about how many people died today, yet didn't get a fraction of the attention that Jobs has been getting. One of those was Charles Napier A.K.A. Harry from Russ Meyer's Cherry, Harry And Raquel. A stalwart of the B-movie genre since the mid-Sixties, and Star Trek guest-star...

Crap. Now I'm cold and sad.
