Same As It Ever Was...?
4 May 2010 23:49THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Be thankful yesterday's gardening was cancelled due to imperfect weather...
And so, to today's news, what little there is. Let's start with...
KISS -5
Not long now.
Meanwhile, the big news in the comic book world is a new UK magazine that will feature stories by comic enthusiast Jonathan Ross, Scottish comedian Frankie Boyle and the sequal to hit series Kick Ass...
Oh. God. NO. I get the awful feeling this is another try at "Crisis", the "grown-up" partner publication of 2000AD, which was basically a bunch of 1980s angry young artists and writers bitching on about "Thatcher", under the guise of "cutting edge politically incisive graphic narrative". The kind of sh8 that infected 2000AD, putting me off it forever, and has since been trying to infect the US comics business ever since. Not my thing. Sorry.
Development News... I'm making progress towards the conclusion of Chapter 4 of what is now known as MoN-204 "Mane-of-Night And The Hunter's Game". Why the change from "Mane-of-Night And The Day At The Races"? Well, the race simply isn't the sole focus of the storyline, and actually, the original title seemed a bit... ermmm, forced. In any case, the story feels more infused with momentum now, and a conclusion could be just around the corner.
Elsewhat... D'you ever get the feeling someone is trying their damnedest NOT to sell you something...?
