A Line Is Drawn.
7 Feb 2010 16:01Okay, there's five months to go, but already the battle lines are being drawn...
Any move won't be until the end of the summer, so it looks as though "i-Resist 2010" is ON. We're NOT going to have another 1300 cars parked in the school sports field - there's a low fence between that and our back garden - and another FIVE THOUSAND evangelical Christians waking us up at eight in the morning with their "worship". The street on the other side of the field have just gotten themselves in the local paper complaining that contact with the local council has been severely lacking in recent months on this issue - tell me about it! The council are the people with whom "Christians Linked Across the Nation" (CLAN) have to, and apparently ARE negotiating about this, but we, the local community, are not being heard.
I'll be contacting the local paper tomorrow, to have my say on the latest developments - I have a contact on their staff from last year, and I'm just about to launch my opening salvo for 2010...
