...and relax.
Recent "emo crap" can be attributed to a bereavement- and snow-induced dose of "stir crazy", so I'm counting it as water under the bridge. Back to what matters, and whatever I can actually do something about!
Work Slot 2010.1, Day 2... Sorry, girl in the orange t-shirt, who just missed out on getting out early because she failed to get my attention before the Chief Invigilator gave the "thirty minutes to go - no-one can request to leave" announcement. Also, I hope the girl who came to the wrong venue and was close to tears got to her exam in time, and did okay.
All in all, this first exam diet is going pretty well, with no big dramas, and the weather isn't a factor for candidates or staff - although some sitting exams must have partly frozen brains, 'cause they fail to bring their IDs, and completely fail to follow instructions they have just been given... oh, okay, I know it's a stressful thing - been there, bought the t-shirt - but c'mon, come prepared! It's your future, and not our job to pick up the pieces...
"Meanwhile"... (there's a reason for the format, trust me) development on TDD-605 "She Returns" continues, with Chapter 1 just about complete on paper, and some early work done on Chapter 2. This story is going to feature something new - a means of more clearly identifying the "speaking" character...
...and it seems to work. I could use images, which seem to be easier to control, but then I'd need to make a new one every time. Let's see how it goes "on site".
Anyway, the story is in its early stages, but already, I've come across a little problem AND addressed it in the same day. Various people have been "invited to the ball", and there's definitely a reason for Darkhawk to be there - I was planning to have Rhagaan and the Destroyer there too... and I may just have a solution for that, too. I'll be working on that tomorrow, I suspect.
As far as Season 6 development is concerned, it'll probably be Saturday or Monday for that - now that I've got a start on TDD-605, I want to try and run with it, and at least get the whole thing outlined. The story shouldn't run to too many chapters, then we're looking at "Mane-of-Night And The Day At The Races", in which Mane-of-Night starts working off her debt to Talona, and we start getting hints of something new... something different for Yafornis and her people...
Hooray For Sanity! al-Muhajiroun get banned AGAIN! I'm not sure if bans are such a good idea, but if that means it costs them more money to register another domain name then (in the style of Mrs Krabappel from The Simpsons) Ha!
At least they cancelled the Wootton Basset march before things got really nasty. Griffin's boot-buys are going to have to find someone else to "campaign" with, I guess...
And finally... no Ultima Online tonight - something broke - and I find myself in a Tweeting conversation with Savage Dragon creator Erik Larsen. Fun.
Hmm. That entry got kinda big all by itself...
