Release Notes... The final piece of stage-setting for "A Darkening Tide" should be put in place on Thursday. So far, there are no potential delays on the horizon.
Development News... The development cycle for "A Darkening Tide" (MoN-107) has been moving forward a bit, but the real focus is on TDD-507 "Nightmare".
TV Highlight! Tonight, the crossover between CSI and Without A Trace, both episodes shown one after the other (albeit the latter on digital only). It's a real shame they don't do more of this - the story ideas that can come from even similar shows coming together. I remember ER and Third Watch doing that really well a few years back, and I always thought Doctor Who and Blake's Seven were a natural match. "New" Who and Torchwood are already striking sparks off each other, and Martha Jones is about to "cross the floor" very soon for her Torchwood debut, which should be fun.
New Torchwood tomorrow. Be interesting to see if they pursue the Rhys storyline this week...
In The News... Awww, are "mosquito" sonic deterrent devices infringing the human rights of the teenage vermin infesting our streets, then? If they stop more innocent civilians being knifed or left with serious head injuries after being accosted by "gangs", then I am fully in support of them. I am so damn sick of hearing how criminals' "rights" are being ground into the dirt - especially when barely a day goes by without some victim's claim to human rights of any kind being quite literally cut short by lawless youth, and ending up six feet under.
Too much persecution? Maybe the general public want to play it safe, and not risk a stabbing. Can you blame them? Defend your own property, your own family, and you're asking for trouble.
Not enough youth clubs? Is all this really that much of a surprise - do any of the people running the clubs get stab-vests, or danger money? I doubt it. And what happens when those attending "get bored" with it? Hey, what better way could there be to get the fire brigade to come out than to burn the place down - after all, it's "really great fun" to attack the emergency services...
...until they decide not to go down to your "turf" to stop your "crib" from being raised to the ground. Oh. What. A. SHAME.
Okay. I accept that not all children in the relevant age group are "feral" - but surely the law-abiding ones should be doing something to reclaim their generation from the thug element. Showing some real "respect" for those around you would certainly help to rectify matters.
*sighs* Done now.
