Went, last night, to book a seat for Cloverfield at today's in-town matinee showing, only to find the afternoon shows are on a smaller screen. "Sod that", thinks I, and a plan starts to form - I can catch a morning show on the day I'm out of town for an appointment, and all that remains is to make the appointment...
Earliest appointment is Friday. Hmph. That rather complicates things, as the cinema listings will have changed by then - there better be a morning show that day, or I'll have to make other arrangements, namely an evening show closer to home. Weather permitting, that I can manage.
Still a pain in the ass, tho'.
Anyway... Played "catch-up" with a TV series that started earlier in the week about truckers in Canada who ship mining supplies hundreds of miles over frozen lakes. I mean holy crap - that takes such a sheer amount of balls there must be a whole country somewhere where the men just can't father any children.
Intense. Ice Road Truckers just became "must-see" viewing.
Project Update... Some light development today, and some substantial story-wrangling is going to be needed fairly soon. Several plotlines that I'd expected would last quite a while appear to be ploughing ahead a whole lot faster than intended, and exactly what those threads will lead to isn't entirely clear. I'll try and address these complications in an attempted "sit-down" after I log off for the night.
No complications affecting current stories, so the "cross-post" is still due tomorrow.
Tomorrow... Superbowl XLII!
