Meanwhile... What a pleasant surprise - a comic delivery! There's a heap of stuff here, the highlight being the issues that bring about the conclusion of the Green Lantern "Sinestro Corps War". Dunno how, but I seem to have missed one part - that'll definitely need rectifying, 'cause there's bound to be something important in it that'll be relevant when things turn really bad in 2009 (or so the teaser goes)...
Also highly deserving of praise - Captain America; the lead character may be dead, but this keeps on rolling, and I haven't once been disappointed by this title. I expect great things from this as Marvel wheel out their "big gun" this year - "Secret Invasion"...
...but please let's try and keep these "big events" special by not cramming the release schedules with "must-have" tie-in issues of comics you'd normally never buy. DC have taken the whole thing to the ultimate extreme with not one but two years of weekly comics, leading into what's probably going to be another stupid "everything changes" deal - until they decide to change it all again, probably next year.
DC got it right, just like Marvel have with the "Annihilation" stories - make the scope grand, but don't try to get everyone involved. Okay?
On The Creative Front... ...I have nothing new to report. This heating crap has come along at absolutely the wrong time, knocking everything off-course. Think I may head to bed early, and maybe sit up and sketch out something.
