Yesterday's Update Today

The short-but-sweet version... The next Mane-of-Night story, "The Helfyre Legacy" is now in production, as TDD-505 appears to have temporarily run aground. Any creativity is good, so I'll run with this for now, and maybe once this story is done, I'll be adequately recharged to get The Darkhawk Diaries back on course.

The Present State Of Play

The first chapter of "The Helfyre Legacy" is maybe a paragraph away from finished, but already it's coming together in a far more satisfying fashion than TDD-505 had begun. There has, unavoidably, been a whole heap of diplomacy for Darkhawk to wade through, and there's still some to do, no matter how "dry" it might be, whilst Mane-of-Night has been having a whole lot more fun, and a whole lot less in the way of worries - it'll be quite a while before Darkhawk gets the chance to even think about dancing under a waterfall in nothing but her boots...

I want to have several chapters of "The Helfyre Legacy" done by the end of the week, and I'm confident I can achieve that, AND have it and MoN-106, the last story before the "convergence" with the Darkhawk story arc, completed fairly swiftly if some focus is applied, without needless interruption. Bringing that stage of "Secret Adventures..." Season 1 to a suitable conclusion is a more achieveable goal that getting any further through TDD-505, so I think it's for the best to work on what works, and come back to Darkhawk at the right time.

Okay, back to work - or more correctly, let's watch the repeat of Heroes, and maybe sketch out the rest of "The Helfyre Legacy", then back to work.
