FF4-2 Reviewlet

Galactus is not a freaking cloud.
He should have been at the heart of the cloud in full Kirby-esque glory, glaring down at the Surfer. That would probably have made Fantastic Four 2 - Rise of The Silver Surfer really good instead of just "good". Also, it's rather a pity that they blew their future chance to use the Super-Skrull - people will just say "saw it in the second one".
Apart from those points, this was an enjoyable movie. Not awesome, but equal to or marginally better than the first - FF comes across as a "lesser" franchise, with its sights set lower than Spider-Man or X-Men. There's bound to be a third edition - I'd be interested to see what storyline that follows - just how do you follow Galactus...?
Michael Chiklis is still perfect as Ben "The Thing" Grimm, mind you, and Doug Jones/Laurence Fishburne were Norrin Rad. Roll on the Surfer movie!
The Verdict... Could still do better - 7 out of 10
